Chief Executive Officer:
Joe Guy ’11

Joseph Guy joined the Flyer Enterprises team as a barista at The Blend. As a sophomore, he served as the general manager of The Blend and oversaw the daily operations at the division, including all administrative functions, repair, and maintenance of equipment. Joe’s objectives included maintaining a quality product, while striving for exceptional customer service and operational efficiency at all times. During his junior year, Joe took on the role as president of café. In this position, he oversaw operations at ArtStreet Café and FE Catering. As CEO, Joe is responsible for Flyer Enterprises’ long-term strategic planning, overseeing operations of all divisions, searching for growth opportunities, and coordinating communication throughout the company.


Chief Financial Officer:
Courtney Heinekamp ’11
Senior MBA Student | Finance and Accounting Major

Courtney Heinekamp first became involved with Flyer Enterprises near the end of her freshman year as a sales associate at The Chill where she demonstrated superb customer service.  One year later, she moved to The Blend where she took on the role of financial manager. In this position, Courtney handled the financial procedures and analysis of the coffee division.  As a senior accounting and finance major on track for the five-year MBA program, Courtney is injecting her classroom lessons into real-world experience in her current role as CFO of Flyer Enterprises.  Her main responsibilities include overlooking all accounting activity, managing the divisional financial managers, and assisting the CEO in the company’s long-term financial strategy.


Chief Information Officer:
Bryan Kristy ’11
Senior Operations Management and Business Leadership Major
Westlake, Ohio 

Bryan began his employment with Flyer Enterprises his freshman year as a sales associate at The Blend Express and was promoted to merchandise buyer shortly after. He overtook responsibilities as general manager of the division this past year. In this role, Bryan was directly in charge of supervising all purchasing and administrative functions, maintaining relationships with vendors and UD’s School of Business faculty, and dealing with all aspects of customer service. This year, Bryan had the opportunity to transition into a entirely new area of business, and currently serves as the FE’s Chief Information Officer. As CIO, he manages the IT staff, oversees all of the systems and services provided by IT, and actively looks to sustain and improve the operational efficiency of FE and all of its divisions through the use of information technology.


Vice President of Corporate Development:
Megan Arko ’12
Junior International Business and Marketing Major
Cleveland, OH

Megan Arko first joined the Flyer Enterprises team in September 2008 as a sales associate at ArtStreet Cafe.  During the year and a half that she worked at the café, Megan was involved with the marketing team, lean team, and HR team.  As vice president of corporate development, Megan is responsible for developing the future leaders of FE.  She will be concentrating on employee empowerment and alumni relations.

President of Dining Services Joint Ventures:
Jimmy Hankehof ’11
Senior MBA Student | Accounting and Finance Major
Toledo, Ohio

Jimmy Hankenhof joined Flyer Enterprises in September 2007, during the first semester of his freshman year. He began working at The Chill as a sales associate until his sophomore year, when he became the assistant marketing director. As a junior, Jimmy was the general manager of The Chill, where he governed daily operations, orders, and human resource functions. This year, as President of Dining Services Joint Ventures, Jimmy oversees all operations, marketing and human resources for The Chill, The Galley and Stuart’s Landing. He collaborates with the eight managers and 75 employees across the three divisions, while interacting with the University of Dayton’s Dining Services to develop the long-term strategy of the joint ventures.

President of Coffee:
Jeff Firestone ’11
Senior Finance and Accounting Major
Bay Village, Ohio

Jeff joined the Flyer Enterprises’ team during his first semester freshman at The Blend.  Jeff became a product buyer as a sophomore and was promoted to general manager in March 2009.  As GM, Jeff was in charge of The Blend's daily operations, including machine maintenance, inventory issues, employee training and the customer’s overall experience. Currently, Jeff acts as the president of coffee and facilitates all marketing, operations, customer experience and accounting activities. He also directs the future outlook for The Blend and The Blend Express, while overseeing more than 35 employees and 6 managers in the process.

President of ArtStreet Café and FE Catering:
Ryan Kinnon ’11
Senior MBA Student | Accounting Major
Londonderry, New Hampshire

Ryan Kinnon joined the Flyer Enterprises team as a sales associate at ArtStreet Cafe' during 2007.  As a sophomore, he served as a buyer, and was then promoted to catering manager during December 2007.   In May 2009, he was promoted to director of operations of FE Catering.  In this position, he created the business plan and established the pricing for all FE Catering products.  His main focus was on brand development, while overseeing daily operations and performing accounting tasks for the division.  This year, Ryan is the president of ArtStreet Cafe' and FE Catering.  Ryan supervises the management teams of the divisions, maintains the relationship between the cafe' and the ArtStreet Living Learning Community Complex, and oversees all functions of the business including daily operations, marketing, brand development and entertainment events.

President of Retail:
Maria Schletker ’11
Senior Entrepreneurship and Marketing Major
Villa Hills, Kentucky

Maria Schletker is a senior entrepreneurship and marketing major. She began working for Flyer Enterprises as a freshman at Stuart's Landing. After taking the role as a buyer for Stu’s during her sophomore year, she was promoted to director of human resources for the division. Currently, she is working as the president of retail for Flyer Enterprises and directs her focus on Flyer Spirit.
