Division History: The Blend is the oldest operating Flyer Enterprises’ venture. The Blend opened January 21, 2000 in conjunction with the opening of the Learning Teaching Center, located on the ground floor of Roesch Library. The concept of the coffee shop was proposed by Dr. Deb Bickford, Associate Provost for Academic Affairs and Learning Initiatives, who proposed the idea of incorporating a student-run operation when planning the LTC proposal and blueprint. Dayton Student Agencies, which later became Flyer Enterprises, created the concept and managed the coffee shop. FE has full financial ownership of the Blend.
