For students studying in the library, the nearest location for a refreshing beverage or snack is The Blend, located on the ground floor of Roesch Library in the Learning Teaching Center. The Blend serves locally roasted Boston Stoker coffee, gourmet specialty drinks, frozen lattes and mochas, whole fruit smoothies, fresh baked Ele pastries, and granola bars made by Dayton alumni. The Blend also sells individual one pound bags of coffee beans in each of their featured Boston Stoker blends. The coffee shop offers high-top tables and booths that students use for studying,
group meetings, and to simply hang out. This independent venture accepts Flyer Express, cash, or credit. If you would like to contact management please email firstname.lastname@example.org. If you would like to place a wholesale order please contact email@example.com
The Blend is the oldest operating Flyer Enterprises’ venture. Opened on January 21, 2000 in conjunction with the opening of the Learning Teaching Center (LTC), the concept of the coffee shop was proposed by Dr. Deborah Bickford, Associate Provost for Academic Affairs and Learning Initiatives. Dr. Bickford proposed the idea of incorporating a student-run operation when planning the LTC proposal and blueprint. Dayton Student Agencies, which later became Flyer Enterprises, created the concept and managed the coffee shop. FE has full financial ownership of the Blend.
